Job description

Position Summary

Under the direction of the department Supervisor/Manager, the Painter is responsible for coating surface parts, assembling and finishing products with protective or decorative materials such as paint, varnish, enamel, lacquer, dope or stain using spray gun.

  • Determines and selects correct mixes of coating material.
  • Applies paint to parts as directed by job orders.
  • Identifies and coats areas that are inaccessible to hand sprayer.
  • Identifies problems with equipment and will troubleshoot or repair paint guns.
  • Responsible for running ovens as needed.
  • Will complete visual inspection of masking on parts to ensure consistency as well as inspect for damaged product.
  • Completes necessary paperwork.
  • Works closely with the production team and assist as needed.
  • Adheres to safety regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Itar Requirement

Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).

Physical Demands
  • Walking/Standing for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Exposed heat, noise and chemical fumes while in production areas
  • Good hand and eye coordination and movement
