Job summary

Wastequip is seeking an Industrial Painter for our Eagleville, TN location. This full-time role requires spraying surfaces with protective or decorative finishes using an airless paint finishing system in a fast-paced production environment.

2:30PM-11:00PM shift. Hourly pay of $20.30 plus a $2 shift differential. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid vacation/sick time, and more. Candidates should be able to stand for long periods and prepare surfaces prior to coating.

Qualifications

• Experience using an Airless Paint Finishing System or similar.
• Experience painting metal surfaces, machinery and/or manufactured products.
• Experience using paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat or lacquer.
• Preferred experience in a fast paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean grease and dirt from product.
• Apply masking tape over parts and areas not to be coated.
• Fill cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
• Mix coating liquid to produce desired color.
• Operate spray equipment for priming or finishing coats.
• Clean spraying equipment and brushes after use.

Wastequip has an opening for an Industrial Painter to support the Eagleville, TN location. This is a full time position with great benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance, 401K Plan, Paid Vacation/Sick time, and so much more. The ideal Candidate should be familiar with using an airless paint finishing system in a fast-paced production environment, where they will spray surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective/decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer. 2nd shift hours: 2:30PM- 11:00PM Hourly Pay: $20.30 + $2 shift differential

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleans grease and dirt from product
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated
• Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color
• Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat
• Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent
• Heats and sprays wax onto products after they are tested
• Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool
• Starts grinder and moves it over the surface of the workpiece to remove scratches, laminated metal, and excess weld material
• Other job duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience using an Airless Paint Finishing System or similar
• Experience painting metal surfaces, machinery and/or manufactured products
• Experience using paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat or lacquer
• Preferred experience in a fast paced production environment
• Be able to work standing up for most of the shift
