Job summary

Wastequip in Galt, CA is seeking an Industrial Painter for a full-time role with benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid vacation. Qualifications

• Experience using an Airless Paint Finishing System.
• Experience painting metal surfaces, machinery and/or manufactured products.
• Experience using paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat or lacquer.

Responsibilities

• Clean grease and dirt from product.
• Apply masking tape over parts and areas not to be coated.
• Grind and sand containers as needed.
• Fill cavities and dents with putty to smooth surface.
• Select and mix coating liquid to produce desired color.
• Pour coating into spray container and connect gun to air hose.
• Turn sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.
• Pull trigger and direct spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
• Coat areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush.
• Clean spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Heat and spray wax onto products after testing.
• Remove rust from metal with acid, wire brush or steel wool.

Job Description: Job Details Description Wastequip has an opening for an Industrial Painter to support the Galt, CA location. This is a full time position with great benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance, 401K Plan, Paid Vacation/Sick time, and so much more. The ideal Candidate should be familiar with using an airless paint finishing system in a fast-paced production environment, where they will spray surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective/decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer. Hourly rate: $23.74

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleans grease and dirt from product
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated
• Grinds and sands containers as needed
• Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color
• Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat
• Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent
