Job summary

Wastequip has an opening for an Industrial Painter to support the Eagleville, TN location. This is a full-time position with great benefits including health insurance, 401K, paid vacation/sick time, and more.

The ideal candidate should be familiar with using an airless paint finishing system in a fast-paced production environment, where they will spray surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working areas with protective/decorative coatings.

Qualifications

• Experience using an Airless Paint Finishing System or similar.
• Experience painting metal surfaces, machinery and/or manufactured products.
• Experience using paints, enamels, lacquers, gels or similar coatings.
• Preferred in a fast-paced production environment.
• Able to stand for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Clean grease and dirt from product.
• Mask areas not to be coated.
• Fill cavities and dents to smooth surfaces.
• Mix and apply coating liquids to achieve desired color.
• Operate spray equipment and regulate spray width/pressure.
• Apply prime or finish coat; brush hard-to-reach areas.
• Clean painting equipment and brushes after use.
• Heat and apply wax coatings after testing products.
• Remove rust with appropriate tools.
• Grind surface to remove scratches and excess weld material.

Job Description:

Wastequip has an opening for an Industrial Painter to support the Eagleville, TN location. The ideal Candidate should be familiar with using an airless paint finishing system in a fast-paced production environment, where they will spray surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective/decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer.

2nd shift hours: 2:30PM- 11:00PM

Hourly Pay: $20.30 + $2 shift differential

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleans grease and dirt from product
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated
• Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color
• Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat
• Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent
• Heats and sprays wax onto products after they are tested
• Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool
• Starts grinder and moves it over the surface of the workpiece to remove scratches, laminated metal, and excess weld material
• Other job duties may be assigned
