Job summary

Wastequip is seeking an Industrial Painter at our Eagleville, TN facility for a full-time, first-shift role. The position offers Health Insurance, 401K, Paid Vacation/Sick time, and more.

The ideal candidate will operate an airless paint finishing system to spray protective coatings on machines and components and work in a fast-paced production setting. Responsibilities include surface preparation, masking, color mixing, spray application, and equipment cleaning.

Qualifications

• Experience using an Airless Paint Finishing System or similar.
• Experience painting metal surfaces, machinery and/or manufactured products.
• Preferred experience in a fast paced production environment.
• Be able to work standing up for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Clean grease and dirt from product.
• Apply masking tape over parts and areas not to be coated.
• Fill cavities and dents with putty for smooth surfaces.
• Select and mix coating liquid for desired color.
• Pour coating liquid into spray container and connect gun to air hose.
• Turn sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
• Coat areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush.
• Clean spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Heat and spray wax onto products after testing.
• Remove rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool.
• Start grinder and move over surface to remove scratches and excess weld material.
