Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Painter 1 to join our production team in the paint department. The role focuses on paint line processes, preparing parts for painting, inspecting items after coating, and labeling parts for movement, while upholding stringent quality standards.

The ideal candidate has experience with paint booths, strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with paint line processes and related equipment.
• Familiarity with paint booths and coating applications.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Follow directions and priorities from Department Lead/ Supervisor/ Support Manager.
• Understand the process of changing parts on correct racks.
• Help ensure the paint line is maintaining the capacity plan.
• Make color changes as required in a timely manner.
• Ensure painted parts meet the company’s quality standards.
• Maintain paint room efficiency; rebuild guns and pumps; manage spare parts inventory.
• Use PPE and enforce safety policies across the department.
• Maintain and improve 5S organization and cleanliness.
• Maintain inventory of powder throughout the year including cycle counts.
• Other duties as assigned.
