Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Centerville, IA is seeking a Painter I for the 3rd shift to prepare, coat, and inspect parts for powder coating and wet painting. You will hang parts, ensure correct documentation, and maintain a clean, safe work area in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is a team player with good communication skills, able to follow detailed procedures and safety rules, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prep parts for powder coating or wet painting by cleaning with lacquer thinner and rags.
• Hang prepped parts on the paint line.
• Apply powder coat to bare metal.
• Remove painted parts and match parts with documentation.
• Identify poor quality parts and maintenance needs on equipment.
• Work at different workstations as production requires.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area; use required PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
