Job description

We are hiring a Painter located in Windsor, CT for a temporary position about 2-3 weeks long.

Painter Pay: $26-$30/hr

Painter Job Summary:

Plan and perform a variety of difficult spray primer and/or finish paining including

material preparation such as sanding, wire brushing, degreasing, filing and other

operations on a variety of general finished products following established new methods

and procedures.

Painter Responsibilities:

  • Work with job orders noting specifications, color codes, charts.
  • Verbal and written instructions to prepare and mix standard and special primers, sealers, coatings, and enamels to proper consistency.
  • Apply primers and coating to prepared surfaces.
  • Apply hamertown finish on tolls, epoxy and varied acid resisting coatings as required.
  • Assist other painters as required with special pain mix requirements and applications.
  • Clean paint booth and spray guns upon completion of usages, drain water from compressor.
  • Maintain records of work performance
  • Keep the area clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations.

Painter Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years or more painting experience, preferable in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to details
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
