Position Summary

PAINTER

12-month position; Monday-Thursday; 10 hours/day; 5am to 3:30pm.

Compensation: $23.20/hour for 90-day probationary period, then $25.78/hour.

Responsibilities
  • Must have working knowledge of standard practice methods, materials, tools, equipment of painting trade; characteristics of paints, varnishes, stains, solvents, etc.
  • Knowledge of methods of preparing wood, metal, glass, plaster, brick, cement and other surfaces.
  • Knowledge of standard safety practices, ability to work on scaffolding; swing stages.
Qualifications

Education: High school graduate/GED and successful completion of a three-year apprenticeship and one year working experience as a painter.
