Job summary

Accolade Healthcare is seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The role focuses on selecting materials, painting with various tools, and maintaining safety standards in different spaces and heights.

The position offers a competitive pay rate of $25.00 per hour plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for travel to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a painter.
• Excellent knowledge of painting materials and how to apply them.
• Solid knowledge of commercial/construction painting techniques.
• Ability to use brushes and caulking guns.

Responsibilities

• Read instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.
• Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint and/or wallpaper, etc.
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster).
• Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
• Apply varnish and other finishes.
• Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions.

Duties And Responsibilities

As an Painter, your responsibilities include:

• Read instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary

Requirements And Skills

• Proven experience as a painter
• Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them
• Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques
• Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
• Good basic math skills
• Good communication skills
• Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
• Conscientious with great attention to detail
• High school diploma
• Valid Drivers License
• Eligible to pass a background check
• May require travel to additional worksites - mileage provided outside of normal commute to base facility
