Job summary

Wake Robin is seeking a skilled painter to maintain interior and exterior surfaces across our Vermont campus, including resident homes and community spaces.

The role focuses on prep, finish application, color accuracy, and safety, with collaboration across teams. Excellent attention to detail and communication for older adults are essential; a valid Vermont driver's license is required. Monday–Friday work hours are 7:00am–3:30pm, with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a commercial painter (2+ years preferred).
• Knowledge of painting materials, surface preparation techniques, and application methods.
• Ability to operate ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and other equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Effective communication and customer service skills, with sensitivity to the needs of older adults.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must have a valid Vermont Driver’s license.

Job description

Reporting to the Property Manager, painters prepare, paint, refinish, and maintain interior and exterior surfaces across our campus, including resident homes, healthcare areas, offices, and community spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, and team members to ensure timely project completion.
• Prepare surfaces for painting and repairing imperfections.
• Use commercial painting equipment and tools safely and effectively to apply paint, stain, varnish and other finishes.
• Ensure accurate color and finish results.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Work safely and comply with OSHA and company safety protocols. Protect adjacent surfaces.

Monday - Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Hiring Range:

• $22.50 — $28.00 / hour

(Starting salary is determined based on candidate's experience, education, and relevant skills as well as internal equity considerations.)
