Job summary

The Huntington at Nashua is seeking a part-time Painter to prepare surfaces for painting, apply undercoats and finish coats, and mix paints. The role supports a caring residential community with scheduled shifts Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 8am to 4pm.

Responsibilities include maintaining surfaces, assisting with related maintenance tasks, and participating in on-call emergency coverage when needed. This is a hands-on position at our Nashua, NH site.

Qualifications

• Some mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Must be in good physical health and able to perform difficult tasks.
• Must have ability to read, speak, and write and follow simple oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains existing paint surfaces through matching and tinting of appropriate paint products.
• Performing all assigned duties including trash pickup, plumbing, heating & cooling systems, electrical and furniture moving.
• Working on off-duty hours, if called, in an emergency situation including snow storms, hurricanes, floods, fires; minimum 3 hours paid for call-in.
• Assisting on weekend coverage with other maintenance staff.
• Assume responsibility for self-safety and that of the environment.
• Reporting problems to Director of Plant Operation regularly and in emergencies.
• Being available for emergency on-call on an alternating basis with other maintenance staff.
• Attending annual in-service programs including body mechanics, right-to-know information, and fire and safety procedures.

We are currently seeking a Part Time Painter to join our team! The Painter prepares surfaces for painting and finishing; applies undercoats and finish coats using the full range of application methods and materials; mixes and matches paints and finishes. Join a team who has fun together and enjoys interacting with our caring residents.

• Minimum 5 years of commercial painting experience.
