Job description

What you get to do:

1. Perform all functions of general paint work for in-park painting services while ensuring a safe environment for guests and employees
2. Utilize application methods, airless spray, conventional spray equipment, brush and roller applications
3. Perform pressure washing; assemble, dismantle scaffolding
4. Perform tasks assigned within time constraints implied by park operational guidelines; organize and plan daily workload without direct supervision
5. Select proper materials for jobs
6. Maintain cleanliness in the paint shop and storage areas
7. Dependable performance in terms of attendance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements
8. Perform other miscellaneous duties as required

What It Takes To Succeed:

1. Have at least one year of onsite experience or equivalent experience in the painting field
2. Have experience working with chemical and hazardous waste
3. Ability to obtain a company driver’s license including high reach and forklift licenses
4. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
5. Be comfortable building and working on scaffolding up to 24ft
6. Be able to pass a respirator fit test
7. Have basic mathematical skills
8. Be comfortable working at heights up to 385ft
9. Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance
10. Be able to climb and work off of ladders
11. Have paint and body experience
12. Have experience in fiberglass repairs, applying polyester bondo and refinishing
13. Be familiar with Mach and Sata HVLP automotive spray guns
14. Ability to work under and meet tight deadlines
15. Be comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations
16. Be comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor
17. Ability to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
18. Ability to train on and properly use protective gear
19. Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts

What Else Is Important:

1. Valid state driver’s license preferred
2. Base coat/clear coat and single stage preferred
3. Experience in other maintenance fields preferred
4. High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour

1. As a 365-day/year operation, full-time candidates are expected to provide flexible availability to support year-round operating needs. This may include, but is not limited to, working opening, mid-day, and closing shifts during peak and non-peak seasons, as well as weekends and holidays.
