Job description

We are a national staffing firm currently seeking an Aircraft Painter for a prominent client in San Antonio, TX.

Details for the position are as follows:

  1. Pay Rate: $36.72/hr (including 5.36H&W)
  2. Location & Shift: Onsite in San Antonio, TX; Shift from 6am to 2:30pm
  3. Contract Duration: 12 months, with potential to extend or convert based on performance and budget

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in the Emergent Paint Center, mixing paint, handling chemicals, and preparing parts for painting.
  • Collaborate with team members and follow specifications from DPS and engineering drawings.
  • Apply paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other materials to aircraft surfaces using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other devices.
  • Remove old paint using liquid paint remover and scrapers.
  • Prepare surfaces by sanding, steel wool, and acid treatments to ensure proper paint adhesion.
  • Mask surfaces and paint insignia, letters, or numerals using stencils.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in aircraft painting responsibilities listed above.
  • Hands-on experience with sanding, taping, mixing materials, and paint application.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to work rotating shifts.
  • Over 2 years of experience working on military and commercial aircraft platforms.
  • Experience working with hazardous chemicals.
