Facilities Painter

• Base rate starting at $28.46 per hour
• Benefits begin 30 days after hire!

What’s on the menu?

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the painter is responsible for the safe and proper application of a variety of coatings on building infrastructure and processing equipment throughout the facility. The candidate must be knowledgeable of Kraft Foods painting specifications and able to operate high-pressure cleaning and spray-painting equipment. Work involves following verbal and written instructions, often with little supervision, requiring experience and judgment. Availability for all shifts, including weekends and holidays, is necessary. The role involves liquid measurements for mixing coatings and coordinating part-time help.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs to furniture, molding, ceiling and floor tiles, and flooring.
• Operate tinting equipment and determine coating needs and quantities.
• Prepare surfaces, coordinate painting projects, and manage floor repair epoxies.
• Assist in KHMS initiatives and report unsafe or damaged equipment.

Sanitation

Maintain cleanliness of paint storage and work areas, cover equipment to prevent contamination, and ensure post-painting sanitation.

Quality

Follow GMPs, ensure proper surface preparation and coating application, and prevent contamination of products and surfaces.

Equipment Operated

Operate high-pressure cleaning and spray equipment, paint chipping tools, ladders, sky-lifts, and forklifts safely.

Safety and Lifting

Lift up to 50 lbs; use proper PPE and fall protection; handle hazardous materials responsibly.

Working Conditions

Work involves noise, safety hazards from fumes and heights, and temperature variations. Proper PPE and safety procedures are mandatory.
