DATTCO, INC in New Britain, CT is seeking a qualified Painter to join our Accelerated Property Management Division. You will prepare surfaces, mix paints, operate painting tools, and apply finishes to a variety of surfaces while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

We offer hourly pay between $22.00 and $25.00, stable year-round employment, medical and dental insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Proven painting experience in commercial or residential settings.
• Must be able to climb ladders and operate painting equipment safely.
• Ability to blend colors and apply multiple finishes.

• Mix paints to match colors and textures.
• Safely operate painting tools and equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting such as sanding, cleaning, and applying primer
• Select and mix paints to match colors and textures
• Safely operate painting equipment and tools
• Apply paint and other finishes to various surfaces
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations at all times
• Proven experience as a painter
• Ability to climb ladders safely
• Proficiency in operating man lifts
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of building and facilities maintenance practices is a plus
• Painting techniques and processes
• Knowledge of different types of paints and finishes
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good physical condition and stamina to handle manual labor
• Valid driver's license
