Summary

The Painter is responsible for preparing, priming, and painting various components and parts to meet quality standards. The role involves working with a variety of materials and surfaces, ensuring that finished products meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

  • Prepares items for finishing operations to include cleaning, masking, and sanding as required.
  • Paints items as required.
  • Inspects finish to verify conformity.
  • Ensures items are identified with work order number prior to painting or powder coating.
  • Complies with all safety and hazardous material procedures, wears protective equipment as required to meet or exceed OSHA and company requirements.
  • May provide training to other employees on painting and powder coating operations.
  • Maintains all aspects of work place cleanliness and organization.

  • May be required to drive forklift trucks.
  • May be required to get additional training or certification.
  • May provide assistance to other departments, as needed.
