Epiroc is seeking a Painter to join our Garland, TX team. Onsite position focused on applying high‑quality coatings, surface prep, priming, and painting while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

You will work to meet production goals with attention to precision and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include surface prep, paint application, color matching, and equipment maintenance, with a strong emphasis on safety and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of painting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of finish painting, sanding, masking methods and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read specifications, blueprints and schematics.
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge and safe rig operation awareness.
  • Must follow safety guidelines and use gauges and tests to ensure quality.

Responsibilities

  • Surface preparation, cleaning, sanding and priming for paint adhesion.
  • Apply coatings with spray equipment, rollers or brushes maintaining quality.
  • Color matching to meet specifications and ensure uniformity.
  • Maintain painting tools and equipment for optimal performance.
  • Follow OSHA safety guidelines and proper ventilation handling.

Join Our Team as Painter at Epiroc!

Painters are responsible for applying high-quality industrial coatings to various surfaces, ensuring durability, appearance, and compliance with company standards. This includes surface preparation, priming, and painting while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment. The role requires a strong focus on precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement to support production goals and deliver consistent product quality.

Work Type: Onsite

Shift Timings: Training schedule of Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, then transition to the regular Friday–Sunday shift from 5:00 AM–3:30 PM with a 10‑hour shift premium

Responsibilities:

  • Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and prime surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion.
  • Paint Application: Apply coatings using spray equipment, rollers or brushes while maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Color Matching: Mix and match paints to meet specifications and ensure uniformity.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain painting tools and equipment for optimal performance.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines, including proper ventilation and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished work to ensure adherence to company standards and customer expectations. Detect and report defective materials.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of paint supplies and request replenishments as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects.

Knowledge/Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Minimum Years of Experience Necessary: 2+ years
  • Knowledge of finish painting, sanding, and masking methods and techniques, test procedures, and equipment maintenance
  • Knowledge of safe working practices in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to use and comprehend specifications, blueprints, and schematics
  • Knowledge of mechanical components/systems
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of safe rig operation
  • Must be able to use gauges, measuring devices
  • Requires the use of judgment to apply finish coat(s) and trim to finished drilling rigs.
  • Must know how to plan work sequences, apply colors, carry out prescribed tests, adjust, diagnose and correct faulty operations.
