Job summary

Epiroc Industrial Tools and Attachments is hiring a Loader / Unloader / Paint Operator to join our Dexter, MI manufacturing team. You will load/unload parts, set up painting equipment, and perform powder coating tasks to ensure high-quality finishes while supporting production schedules.

Responsibilities include preparing parts, applying paints per specs, following SQDC metrics, and maintaining 5S standards. High school diploma preferred; on-site work with potential sign-on/referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read instructions and perform quality measurements.
• Capable of using and troubleshooting paint equipment and hand/power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for paint application, including masking and DA work.
• Load/unload parts from conveyor line and ensure paint quality.
• Apply powder paints per manufacturer specs and verify thickness/adhesion.
• Follow supervisor instructions and maintain 5S standards.
• Work in confined spaces and handle inventory paperwork when needed.

Epiroc is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Loader / Unloader / Paint Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading parts from the powder coating line, ensuring products move efficiently through the paint process, and performing powder coat painting operations as needed. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality finished products while supporting production schedules and customer expectations.

Work Type-Onsite: This position will be based onsite at our Dexter, MI facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship

Sign-On Bonus Available

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus, payable to new hires who meet the program's eligibility criteria. Details will be provided during the interview process.

Responsibilities:

• Proper set-up of painting equipment. Inspect spray guns and replace worn parts, perform color changes, prepare conveyor for parts hanging, perform and fill out daily checklists.
• Prepare parts for proper paint application; includes plugging, masking, DA, and other cosmetic duties as needed.
• Load and unload parts from the conveyor line using proper methods and checking for a quality paint finish.
• Apply powder paints to manufacturer specifications, and use thickness & adhesion testing verification to control process.
• Follows instructions given by Supervisor/Team Leader.
• Ability to identify process issues.
• Understand and follow procedures dealing with parts flow and associated paperwork.
• Perform all 5S duties and maintain acceptable 5S standards.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Must pass pulmonary function test physical.
• Understand & execute, if necessary, inventory paperwork & computer transactions.
• Adhere to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics.
• Mobility to move within department/plant as assigned.

Knowledge/Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions to perform quality measurements.
• Competence to use and troubleshoot paint equipment.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to pay attention to detail.
• Capable of working in a team environment
