Job summary

Amarillo Wind Machine LLC, part of Marmon Holdings and Berkshire Hathaway-backed, seeks a painting technician in Exeter, NH. You will set up and operate spray paint equipment, prepare surfaces, apply primers or finishes, and touch up as needed. Responsibilities include assembling towers, using overhead crane, and maintaining paint equipment.

Qualifications

• Spray painting experience and equipment handling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure surface to be painted is properly prepared.
• Mix paint at recommended specifications.
• Spray paint components and assemblies as required by supervisor.
• Assemble towers and other assemblies as required.
• Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble paint equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on paint booth; care for respirator.
• Check paint inventory daily.
• Know locations of MSDS sheets for all material used.
• Maintain daily log book of paint and VOC usage.

SCOPE:

Setup, adjust and operate spray paint equipment. Prepare and paint surfaces with primer or finished materials, such as paint, lacquer, or other protective material. Touch up as necessary. Assemble towers or other assemblies required during painting operation. Safely use overhead crane and fork lift

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Spray paint equipment operation; knowledge and understanding of various coating materials and their application; use of respirator, read and understand instructions and specifications and MSDS sheet.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must lift 25 pounds – bending, squatting, and standing at least 8 hours per day, upper body strength. Physical exam is required in order to demonstrate the ability to meet the physical requirements of the position including respirator exam

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pay Range:

21.60 - 26.40
