Job summary

Amarillo Wind Machine LLC, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a full-time painter to set up and operate spray paint equipment and apply primers or finishes on surfaces and assemblies.

Responsibilities include preparing surfaces, mixing paints to specification, painting components as directed, assembling towers, and maintaining equipment and the paint booth. Candidates must lift 25 pounds and work eight hours daily.

Qualifications

• Spray painting experience and knowledge of coating materials.
• Ability to read and follow MSDS sheets and safety instructions.
• Capability to lift 25 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks daily.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting.

Prepare and paint surfaces with primer or finished materials, such as paint, lacquer, or other protective material. Touch up as necessary. Assemble towers or other assemblies required during painting operation. Safely use overhead crane and fork lift**SPECIAL SKILLS:**Spray paint equipment operation; knowledge and understanding of various coating materials and their application; use of respirator, read and understand instructions and specifications and MSDS sheet.**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:Must lift 25 pounds – bending, squatting, and standing at least 8 hours per day, upper body strength. Physical exam is required in order to demonstrate the ability to meet the physical requirements of the position including respirator exam**RESPONSIBILITIES:**Ensure surface to be painted is properly prepared. Mix paint at recommended specifications. Spray paint components and assemblies as required by supervisor Assemble towers and other assemblies as required. Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble paint equipment. Equipment Maintenance – change filters and perform proper clean up of paint booth; care and cleaning of respirator. Check paint inventory daily.
