Job summary

Wastequip Manufacturing Company LLC in Eagleville, TN, seeks an Industrial Painter for a full-time, first shift position. You will operate airless paint systems to apply protective and decorative coatings to machines and products, ensure surface prep, and maintain spray equipment. Strong in fast-paced production environments preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience using an Airless Paint Finishing System or similar.
• Experience painting metal surfaces, machinery and/or manufactured products.
• Experience using paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat or lacquer.
• Preferred experience in a fast paced production environment.
• Be able to work standing up for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Cleans grease and dirt from product.
• Ccoats masking areas not to be coated.
• Fills cavities and dents with putty for smooth surface.
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color.
• Sprays coating liquid and controls spray width and pressure.
• Applies prime or finish coat on work surface.
• Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush.
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Heats and sprays wax onto products after testing.
• Removes rust from metal with appropriate tools.
• Starts grinder and removes surface defects as needed.

Job Description: Wastequip has an opening for an Industrial Painter to support the Eagleville, TN location. This is a full time position with great benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance, 401K Plan, Paid Vacation/Sick time, and so much more. The ideal Candidate should be familiar with using an airless paint finishing system in a fast-paced production environment, where they will spray surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective/decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer.

1st shift hours: 6:00AM - 2:30PM Hourly Pay: $20.30

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleans grease and dirt from product
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated
• Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color
• Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat
• Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent
• Heats and sprays wax onto products after they are tested
• Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool
• Starts grinder and moves it over the surface of the workpiece to remove scratches, laminated metal, and excess weld material
• Other job duties may be assigned
