Position Overview
The Painter is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appearance of the hotel's interior and exterior surfaces by performing painting, finishing, and coating tasks. The role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare surfaces for painting, including patching holes, sanding, and priming.
  • Apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
  • Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and finishes.
  • Conduct regular inspections of painted surfaces to identify and correct flaws or damage.
  • Perform touch-up painting and minor repairs to maintain a fresh appearance.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations related to painting and hazardous materials.
  • Coordinate with other departments to schedule painting activities and minimize disruption to guests.
  • Report to supervisors on job progress, completion times, and material usage.
  • Maintain an inventory of paints, supplies, and equipment.
  • Request orders for materials as needed to ensure sufficient stock.
