Job summary

University City Housing is seeking a skilled Painter to join our Philadelphia-based team. The role focuses on painting, plastering, renovations, and readies for move-in, while maintaining clear records and collaborating with residents and staff.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of painting experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. On-call hours and heights/ladders familiarity included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of painting and plastering experience.
• Strong communication in English.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Comfortable with heights and ladders.
• Available for on-call and non-traditional hours.

Responsibilities

• Paint and plaster in residential units, coordinating with residents and team members.
• Maintain service records and document work performed.
• Renovate homes and prepare units for move-in.
• Ensure timely completion of assignments and quality workmanship.
• Snow removal when needed and basic preventative maintenance.

UCH is hiring a skilled Painter to join our team! We are seeking a talented and well-rounded individual to assist with renovations, make readies and daily work orders.

Each day will vary and your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Working directly with residents and team members to preform painting and plastering
• Maintain service records
• Renovate and get homes ready for move in
• Ensure successful completion of assignments
• Snow removal
• Preventative Maintenance as needed

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong painting and plastering experience (2+ years’ experience)
• Ability to be a team player who can work independently with minor supervision as well as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize urgent projects and work in a fast-paced and challenging work environment
• Strong levels of communication (both written and spoken English)
• A valid driver's license and vehicle
• Ability to move heavy equipment and machinery
• Must be comfortable with heights and ladders
• Willingness to work on call and non-traditional hours
