This position involves supervising manufacturing of parts and assembly processes, scheduling work, troubleshooting abnormalities, and ensuring quality at minimal cost. The supervisor also promotes safety, morale, and the production of quality parts meeting delivery requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Direct manufacturing activities and maintain production schedules.
• Plan work, assign tasks, and train new employees.
• Administer departmental policies and troubleshoot machine issues.
• Communicate across management levels, including international staff.
• Conduct root cause analysis and defect reduction initiatives.
• Document productivity and defects, and implement corrective actions.
• Motivate staff, resolve conflicts, and evaluate performance.
• Support continuous improvement and oversee trials of new parts.
• Assist management in achieving departmental goals.
• Coach employees and issue disciplinary actions as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for hiring, training, performance appraisal, and discipline, in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of TPS and strong communication skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience managing sections with daily management practices.

Education and Experience

• 3+ years as a Team Leader or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 70% process experience and working knowledge.
• Associate's degree or equivalent preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to interpret safety, operational, and maintenance documents.
• Basic math skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to interpret instructions.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, occasional sitting, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Work involves exposure to mechanical parts and loud noise, with accommodations available for disabilities.

Work Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, with shifts at 5:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., or 9:30 p.m., including possible overtime and weekend work.
