Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a passionate Engineering professional for the Paint Department to manage area project schedules, assist with new equipment installations, and support new model introductions. You will collaborate with plant production groups to ensure competitive daily operations and capital project success.

The role emphasizes coordinating with contractors, driving process improvements, and optimizing capacity while aligning with Toyota's standards for safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in Paint Manufacturing.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments is required.
  • Project management experience including scheduling and KPI tracking.
  • Ability to coordinate equipment installations with multiple contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Support area project planning, equipment procurement, implementation and follow-up.
  • Support new model introductions, including equipment modifications and process jigs.
  • Lead competitiveness improvement projects for local production shop.
  • Negotiate scope of work and define roles and responsibilities within the project.
  • Identify necessary investment and equipment modifications for capacity increases.
