Job summary

Dakota Bodies seeks a Paint Prep/Wash/Caulking worker in Watertown, SD to prepare products for painting by washing, masking, sanding and caulking as instructed. You will move items to the paint booth, remove tape after drying, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet production needs. Candidates should be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and preferably relevant technical training.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: technical education courses or training via vocational institutes, community colleges, or U.S. Armed Forces.

Responsibilities

• Prepare product for painting by washing, masking, sanding and caulking.
• Move product to the paint booth and ensure a clean, safe work area.
• Remove tape and paper after drying and maintain painting quality standards.
• Work overtime as needed, including extended hours and weekends.
• Follow management instructions and perform other related duties.

A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all painting quality levels are met.

• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Incumbent will follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties from time to time if requested by management.

Shift Pay

1st shift starting pay - $18 per hour

2nd shift starting pay - $20 per hour

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

May be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs regularly. Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling and/or standing. Must wear ASTM 2413 Steel-Toe/Composite-Toe footwear, ear plugs, safety glasses, goggles, masks with protective lenses, and any other required equipment to prevent burns, eye injuries, and injury from falling objects.
