Job summary

Dakota Bodies Llc in Watertown, SD is seeking a Paint Prep/Wash/Caulking candidate to prep products for painting by washing, masking, sanding, and caulking per instructions; move products to the paint booth and ensure proper handling.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, PPE usage, and flexibility to work overtime and weekends; a High School diploma or GED is required, technical training preferred. This position emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.

• Preferred: Technical education courses or training via vocational/technical institutes or U.S. Armed Forces.

Responsibilities

• Wash, mask, sand and caulk product to prepare for painting.
• Move product to the paint booth as required.
• Remove tape and paper after product is completely dry and maintain a clean, safe area.
• Ability to work overtime, including extended hours and weekends.
• Follow management instructions and perform other duties as assigned.

The position is responsible for moving the product to the paint booth. The Paint Prep will also remove all tape and paper after the product is completely dry and maintains a clean and safe area. A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all painting quality levels are met.Able to work overtime as needed, including extended hours and weekendsOther duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Incumbent will follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties from time to time if requested by management.Must be 18 years of ageRequired; High School Diploma or G.E.D EquivalentPreferred; Technical education courses, post secondary institutions, such as vocational and technical institutes, community colleges, and/or training through the U.S. Armed ForcesPHYSICAL DEMANDSMay be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs regularly. Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling and/or standing. Must wear ASTM 2413 Steel-Toe/Composite-Toe footwear, ear plugs, safety glasses, goggles, masks with protective lenses, and any other required equipment to prevent burns, eye injuries, and injury from falling objects.
