Job summary

Wastequip is seeking a Paint Prep Tech in Erial, NJ to prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, grinding and sanding as required. The role requires handling tools and abrasive disks, operating grinders, and delivering a smooth finish.

Overtime may be required and lifting up to 50 lbs is expected. The position offers full-time hours with a typical shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with Saturdays when needed.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education or up to one month of related experience or training.
• Team player, detail oriented, flexible, and self-starter traits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examines surface for defects and prepares surfaces for painting.
• Selects abrasives and attaches to grinder, then grinds and sands as needed.
• Polishes and finishes ground areas for a smooth, unmarred surface.
• Lifts and moves materials up to 50 lbs and may work overtime.
