Job summary

Mickey Truck Bodies is seeking a reliable Paint Prep Technician in High Point, NC. This role prepares truck bodies for painting, masking, sanding, and cleaning during a fast-paced manufacturing cycle.

You will work on panels and components and support painters while maintaining quality and safety standards. The position offers full-time hours with a bi-weekly pay schedule and a bi-weekly bonus program, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in paint prep, autobody, manufacturing, or industrial finishing preferred.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools and sanding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare truck bodies and components for painting by sanding, masking, and taping.
• Remove rust, old paint, grease, and surface contaminants.
• Perform minor body filler work and surface smoothing as needed.
• Wash and solvent-clean surfaces prior to paint application.
• Inspect surfaces and correct defects before painting.
• Assist painters by staging parts and materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
