New England Truck Center in Bow, NH is hiring a Paint Prep Technician to join our collision and body repair team. You will prep surfaces, mask and sand in readiness for primer and paint, working alongside experienced painters and technicians.

Qualifications

• Experience sanding, taping, and masking in auto body or paint environments.
• Familiarity with surface prep for primer and paint.
• Experience with light body work and dent/filler prep.
• Strong attention to detail and following processes.

Responsibilities

• Sand and feather-edge surfaces in preparation for primer/paint.
• Mask vehicles and equipment to protect trim and glass.
• Perform light body work, including minor dent repair.
• Apply and shape body filler when required.
• Sand repaired areas to achieve proper surface quality.
• Clean and degrease surfaces before primer/paint.
• Apply primer and guide coats as needed.
• Assist painters with booth setup and material staging.
• Maintain tools and equipment; keep work areas clean and safe.
