Job summary

Wastequip WRX in Erial, NJ is hiring a Paint Prep Tech to clean, grind and sand surfaces of components prior to painting. Hourly pay is $21.30. Shift is 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with optional Saturday work.

Responsibilities include examining surfaces for defects, selecting abrasives, operating grinders, and polishing to a smooth finish. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be willing to overtime; no advanced education required.

Qualifications

• Must lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work overtime
• No formal education required beyond basic training.

Responsibilities

• Examine and feel surface for defects.
• Select abrasive wheel/disk per specifications and attach to grinder.
• Operate grinder to remove scratches, excess weld material, and burs.
• Polish ground areas to a smooth, unmarred finish.
• Replace worn abrasive disks and wheels.
