Job summary

Sherwin-Williams Co. in Greensboro, NC seeks a Manufacturing Technician to set up, run and maintain production equipment for paints and coatings. You’ll batch, mix and monitor processes to meet customer specs while upholding a safe, clean work environment.

Responsibilities include operating control systems, inspecting tickets, measuring tank yields, and keeping logs. Prior manufacturing/handling experience, and ability to work weekend night shifts are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Have at least one year of experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• Experience monitoring gauges, dials, or machinery indicators to ensure proper operation.
• Experience operating machinery in manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Experience monitoring the quality of raw materials or finished goods.
• Experience using material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.).
• Experience mixing or blending raw materials in an industrial batch process.

Responsibilities

• Operate paint-making control systems and manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prebatch and inspect tickets; follow batch slip instructions.
• Measure tanks for yield and monitor raw materials and finished goods quality.
• Keep equipment logs, perform minor repairs, and report breakdowns promptly.
• Maintain production records and collaborate with other departments to complete orders on time.
• Monitor and replenish inventory of parts and supplies; provide technical training as needed.
