Job summary

Kress Corporation in Brimfield, IL seeks a full-time Paint Line Supervisor to oversee daily paint-line operations. You will ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met in a heavy equipment manufacturing setting.

Candidates should have 3–5+ years in industrial coatings, prior supervisory experience, and strong skills in leading teams, problem-solving, and coordinating with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5+ years of experience in an industrial or heavy equipment paint environment.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial coatings, paint systems, and finishing processes.
• Ability to interpret quality standards, specifications, and blueprints.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of paint line employees, including painters, prep technicians, and material handlers.
• Ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards and minimizing downtime.
• Monitor paint application processes including surface prep, priming, topcoat, curing, and inspection.
• Enforce safety policies, PPE usage, and environmental compliance (OSHA, EPA, VOC standards).
• Troubleshoot paint defects, equipment issues, and process interruptions.
• Train, coach, and evaluate paint line employees.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Maintain accurate production, scrap, and labor records.
