4-10 hour days - Tuesday through Friday


EK is looking for a quick-learning, full-time material handler to assist our painting and powder coating team. If you like working with people, can easily follow instructions, and are dedicated to consistent and quality work, then we want you to put your skills to good use with our team of expert manufacturers.

What you'll be responsible for:



  • Safely operating an industrial forklift or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and productions to the paint department.

  • Readily taking instruction from your team lead or supervisor regarding which jobs or pallets should be brought to the line.

  • Use math, language, reading, and basic computer skills whenever needed

  • Successfully following instructions for proper equipment operation and record keeping.

  • Executing your assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.

  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

  • Accurately communicate well between departments.

  • Successfully and efficiently attaching tags and labels to materials.

  • Clearly marking information on cases and containers.

  • Willingly assisting the paint line supervisor or leadsperson with other duties as required.

  • Helping to unload and load parts onto the paint line per instructions on the paint line monitor when needed.



What will make you a strong candidate and a solid fit for the EK team?


Education & Experience - You have a high school diploma or GED; one to three months related experience or training; or you have an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior forklift experience is preferred. You must also have a high degree of attention to detail to prevent injury to others and promote a safe work environment.


Communication & Analytical Skills - You have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos, as well as operate and maintain instructions and procedure manuals. You should be able to write simple correspondence and effectively present information one-on-one to other EK team members.


Mathematical Requirements - Our painter must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


Reasoning & Problem Solving - You can effectively apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and can deal with problems that involve a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
