Job summary

Replacement Parts, Inc. is seeking a Paint Counter Salesperson to provide over-the-counter assistance, take in-person and phone orders, and support store operations by promoting sales programs and customer-focused activities. The role centers on automotive paint, paint supplies, and related equipment at our national auto parts network.

You will engage customers, mix paints, manage stock, and process transactions while maintaining high service standards and teamwork across the store.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 1 year of auto parts experience preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals; write routine reports and speak to groups.
• Ability to calculate discounts, percentages, and perform basic algebra.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by identifying parts and/or paint needs, processing paint formulas, mixing paint, and diffusing upset customers.
• Research parts and paint availability using computer and catalogs for stock numbers and pricing.
• Mix paint for customers, pull parts orders, and manage stock as needed.
• Handle cash and credit transactions; properly invoice/credit customer accounts.
• Prioritize delivery items and assign deliveries to drivers when applicable.
• Process new and defective core returns and ensure proper credits and paperwork.
• Maintain store inventory and assist other locations as needed.
• Cooperate with coworkers and function as a team member.
• Follow safety guidelines and company policies; open/close the store when assigned a key holder.
• Keep the store neat and clean and maintain a professional appearance.
