Job summary

Camping World is seeking a Paint/Body Technician to join our growing team. The role involves diagnosing and repairing RV bodies and paint with attention to detail, following work orders, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

You will track parts, communicate progress to supervision, and ensure final work meets quality standards. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of service technician experience; college or technical certification in a trade is a plus, RVIA certification is helpful

Qualifications

  • Certification from college or technical school in a trade field is helpful but not required.
  • Minimum 1 year service technician experience or related fields.
  • RVIA certification helpful but not required.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and document complete diagnostics for repairing recreational vehicle equipment and structures.
  • Customize and repair RV in accordance with work orders.
  • Perform body and paint repair.
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
  • Keep supervisor apprised of work progress.
  • Ensure final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.
  • Follow Safety and Hazardous Waste procedures as outlined.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and per company standards.

Camping World is seeking a Paint/Body Technician to join our growing team. A successful Collision/Body Technician will have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated, background in body/paint repair and well-versed in all paint and body repair equipment.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide and document complete diagnostics for repairing recreational vehicle equipment and structures. Determine best product for repair.
  • Customize and repair RV in accordance with work orders. Execute work orders.
  • Perform body and paint repair
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements
  • Keep supervisor appraised of work progress
  • Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers
  • Follows Safety and Hazardous Waste procedures as outlined
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned and performs duties at company established performance levels.
What You'll Need To Have For The Role:
  • Certification from college or technical school in trade field (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance, etc.) is certainly helpful but, we also consider applicable work experience
  • Minimum of 1-year service technician experience or related fields preferred
  • RVIA certification helpful but not required
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • May lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices
  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending
  • Potential exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment
  • Environmental conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust and wetness

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below.

Pay Range:

$22.00-$53.71 Hourly
