Job summary

Camping World is seeking a Collision/Body Technician to join our growing team. The role focuses on diagnostics, body and paint repair for RVs and marine equipment, with emphasis on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year as a service technician, RV/Marine exterior experience preferred, and industry certifications are helpful but not required. Valid driver's license is preferred. Training opportunities available.

Qualifications

  • RV/Marine exterior and structure experience preferred.
  • 1 year service technician experience or related fields preferred.
  • RVIA certification helpful but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and document complete diagnostics for repairing RV equipment and structures.
  • Customize and repair RV in accordance with work orders.
  • Perform body and paint repair.
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
  • Keep supervisor appraised of work progress.
  • Ensure final work meets quality standards and is inspected.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.
  • Follow Safety and Hazardous Waste procedures as outlined.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Camping World is seeking a Collision/Body Technician to join our growing team. A successful Collision/Body Technician will have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated, background in body/paint repair and well-versed in all paint and body repair equipment. RV and Marine exterior and structure experience strongly preferred.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide and document complete diagnostics for repairing recreational vehicle equipment and structures. Determine best product for repair.
  • Customize and repair RV in accordance with work orders. Execute work orders.
  • Perform body and paint repair
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements
  • Keep supervisor appraised of work progress
  • Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers
  • Follows Safety and Hazardous Waste procedures as outlined
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned and performs duties at company established performance levels.

What You’ll Need To Have For The Role:

  • RV and Marine exterior and structure experience preferred.
  • Certification from college or technical school in trade field (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance, etc.) is certainly helpful but, we also consider applicable work experience
  • Minimum of 1-year service technician experience or related fields preferred
  • RVIA certification helpful but not required
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • May lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices
  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending
  • Potential exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment
  • Environmental conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust and wetness

Pay Range:

$22.55-$53.48 Hourly
