Trident Maritime Systems- Heavy Equipment Group in Iron River, MI is seeking a Manufacturing Painter Blaster to apply protective coatings to structural materials and ensure high-quality workmanship. This role emphasizes safety and efficiency in a rugged marine/defense environment.

You will operate airless and spray equipment, prep parts per shop orders, and collaborate with the team while mentoring others. A fit includes readiness to handle diverse coatings and maintain low defect rates.

Qualificações

• Experience as an Industrial Manufacturing Painter, Coatings Painter Blaster, or Automotive Painter preferred.
• Ability to apply zinc/epoxy/enamel coatings with airless or spray systems.

Responsabilidades

• Apply zinc/epoxy/enamel coatings with airless and spray systems.
• Operate blaster safely to schedule and perform basic maintenance.
• Prep parts per shop order/blueprint by taping and cleaning surfaces.
• Understand paints and materials and how to mix.
• Maintain high quality standards.
• Team player and mentor to others.
• Basic blueprint skills.
• Repair spray guns and airless spray equipment.
• Obtain SSPC paint and blast certifications.
• Use paint, environmental, and waste data sheets.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Painter Blaster to join our Iron River, MI Team!

The Painter Blaster operates spray painting and blasting equipment to apply protective coatings to structural materials. Consistently maintains high quality, meets or exceeds routed hours and leads and demonstrates safety in the workplace.

MAJOR DUTIES

• Must be able to apply all zinc/epoxy/enamel coatings with airless and pressure pot or wire spray
• Operate blaster safely to production schedule and perform all general maintenance
• Prep parts according to shop order/blueprint by taping and cleaning designated surfaces with no assistance
• Understands different types of paints and materials applied and how to mix
• Maintains the highest standards of quality
• Functions as team player with co-workers and mentor others
• Basic blueprints skills
• Ability to rebuild spray guns/paint pots and airless spray machine without assistance
• Must obtain SSPC paint and blast certifications
• Must properly utilize paint, environmental, and waste stream data sheets
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience as an Industrial Manufacturing Painter, Industrial Coatings Painter Blaster, or Automotive Painter strongly desired

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds
• Long periods of standing
