Cannonball Recruiting LLC is seeking an Industrial Painter/Blaster to operate spray-painting and blasting equipment for protective coatings on manufactured components. The role requires handling rigging, surface prep, and adherence to safety, quality, and delivery goals.

Candidates should have a certificate in blasting/painting or 3+ years of practical experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and capacity to work in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Certificate in industrial blasting and painting or 3+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for coating using abrasive blasting, high pressure water washing or power wire brushing.
• Stage and monitor fume extractors, drying fans, heaters and monitor temperatures.
• Mix and apply chemicals, coatings and epoxy to meet specifications.
• Spray coatings onto products to achieve specified finishes.
• Move items to staging or drying areas and prepare for packaging.
• Interpret OEM instructions and work orders for proper application.
• Touch up defects on surfaces and painted components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
• 2+ years of rigging or industrial material handling experience.
• Demonstrate knowledge of paint equipment and related systems.
• Perform basic math and computer tasks.
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Industrial Painter/Blaster

• The Industrial Blaster - Painter operates spray-painting and blasting equipment to safely apply protective coatings to manufactured components. This requires demonstrated skills in paint, blasting and related chemistry, heavy rigging, material handling, surface preparation and specification compliance. Additionally, the Industrial Blaster-Painter will lead and engage the company to achieve all assigned manufacturing goals: Safety (no one gets hurt), Quality (free of defect), On-Time Delivery (meet customer delivery dates), Budget (at or below estimated hours) and People (develop & retain “hungry, humble and smart” leaders).

Education/Physical Qualifications:

• Certificate in industrial blasting and painting or 3 + years of practical experience in industrial blasting and painting applications and systems.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Job Duties:

• Prepare surfaces to be coated by using various methods (abrasive blasting, high pressure water washing or power wire brushing) to remove grease, dirt, rust and other surface contaminants.
• Stage and monitor fume extractors, drying fans, heaters and evaluate environmental and product surface temperatures.
• Safely mix and apply all required chemicals, coatings and epoxy to meet customer specifications.
• Spray coatings (such as primer, paint, lacquer, enamel, and metallic solutions) onto manufactured products to achieve specified surface finishes.
• Safely move items to staging or drying areas, unload, position or stack them for further application or packaging.
• Read, interpret and apply OEM instructions, drawings and work order instructions for proper application and mixtures.
• Touch up defective areas of surface and painted components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and related equipment.
• 2+ years of work experience in rigging or industrial material handling.
• Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of paint equipment and related systems.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment.
