Job summary

Luminescent Systems in East Aurora, NY is seeking reliable, hands-on production team members. You’ll help build aerospace systems, learn our processes, and be trained to perform a range of painting and assembly tasks with a focus on quality.

The role offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, no weekend shifts, a clean modern facility, and full benefits including health insurance and 401(k) match. Compensation is $19.00-25.00/hour.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative production team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in aerospace manufacturing processes with careful handling and QA checks.
  • Operate in a clean, climate-controlled facility to support production goals.
  • Follow work instructions, blueprints and color/spec guidelines for paints and finishes.
  • Maintain a safe, organized workspace and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Record production activity using basic computer systems and software.

What You’ll Do

Bring your hands-on skills and a great attitude to help us build the best in aerospace manufacturing. Whether you have prior production experience or are eager to get started, you’ll be trained to:

  • Use airbrushes, HVLP spray guns, screening tables, gun washing equipment, paint booths, measuring equipment and ovens
  • Perform spraying of clear coat, paint on fronts and backs, paint for finals, paint I, paint on Avionics, paint on GDLS
  • Perform screening on panels, metal, and GDLS
  • Balance INCN and EL panels, Avionics product, and GDLS
  • Perform all sanding and flipping tasks
  • Follow detailed work instructions and blueprints to ensure high-quality production
  • Work with a collaborative team to solve problems and keep production moving
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and help streamline processes
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

What You Bring

  • Use basic computer systems and software to track production, document work completed, and follow up on tasks as needed
  • Previous manufacturing or paint experience is helpful but not required

Compensation

$19.00-25.00/hour

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
