Job summary

Howmet Aerospace has a Paint and Coating Operator opening for the 3rd shift at our Tucson, AZ facility. You will run Vector and Dye Point machinery to meet specific customer requirements, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, can lift 35–40 lbs, and communicate effectively with team members. ITAR-US person status is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.

• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain clean work area.
• Experience with measuring tools and reading blueprints is preferred.

3rd Shift hours: Sunday - Thursday from 10:00PM to 6:00AM

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for operating the Vector and Dye Point machines to meet customer requirements.
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to lift/move up to 30 pounds
• Assists with inspecting components to the proper customer and production specifications
• Perform housekeeping duties on a regular basis as necessary
• Prepare daily production reports and forms
• Assists other operators with processing activities such as components weight counting, parts movement between location
• Adheres to Howmet EH&S, Quality, and other company policies
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills are required. Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is desired or have a background working with machinery. Prefer previous hands‑on experience using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers and reading blueprints.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution preferred

Entry level position. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are required. Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is desired or have a background working with machinery. Prefer previous hands‑on experience using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers and reading blueprints.

This position will physically require the incumbent to perform duties standing, walking, overhead reaching, lifting (35 – 40lbs), pushing and pulling totes, and leaning over machines, all equally on a regular basis.
