Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking an entry level Processing Technician for the 2nd shift in Tucson, AZ. The role involves loading/unloading plating barrels, applying coatings, and moving parts along the line to be processed, with occasional oven loading.

You'll work on-site, handle chemicals safely, and lift 35–40 lbs. A high school diploma or GED is required, with manufacturing experience preferred and familiarity with measurement tools a plus.

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Experience with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers) and reading blueprints is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload plating barrels.
  • Apply a supplementary coating to parts.
  • Transport baskets to the manual line for processing.
  • Load parts into ovens by sliding them on the belt.
  • Work around chemicals and handle occasional chemical additions; lifting is required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

2nd Shift hours: Monday - Friday, 2:30PM - 11:00PM

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Able to load and unload the plating barrels

  • Able to apply a supplementary coating to the parts

  • Able to carry baskets of parts to the manual line for processing

  • Able to load parts into the oven by sliding them on the belt.

  • Comfortable working around chemicals and on occasion add chemicals to the tanks. This will require lifting.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to Howmet EH&S, Quality, Continuous Improvements and other Company Policies.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution preferred

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Entry level position. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are required. Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is desired or have a background working with machinery. Prefer previous hands‑on experience using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers and reading blueprints.

This position will physically require the incumbent to perform duties standing, walking, overhead reaching, lifting (35 - 40lbs), pushing and pulling totes, and leaning over machines, all equally on a regular basis.
