Job summary

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with 1-2 years of experience in body repair/ Semi-Tractor maintenance and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; willingness to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
• At least 1 year of experience in DOT inspections, FHWA inspections, and air brakes
• Education: GED, High School

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged or wrecked equipment and perform valuations to create cost estimates for repairs
• Rebuild and paint wrecked trucks, hoods, and body parts with focus on fiberglass and cosmetic repairs
• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of preventative maintenance, replacement of parts, and difficult tractor repairs
• Accurately perform intermediate level repairs to company and manufacturer specifications, complete work orders, and follow SRT and warranty guidelines
• Troubleshoot tractor issues; work independently and follow shop safety procedures
• Maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers
