Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Body Technician to perform intermediate repairs, troubleshooting, rebuilding, and painting of tractors and equipment. Duties include outdoor work, potential night/weekend shifts, and overtime with full-time attendance.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with 1–2 years of body repair/Semi-Tractor maintenance experience.
• A/C Certification.
• At least 1 year of experience in DOT inspections, FHWA inspections, and air brakes.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED with 1–2 years of body repair experience.
• Willingness to work outdoors, and across multiple shifts including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged equipment and create cost estimates for repairs.
• Rebuild and paint wrecked trucks, focusing on fiberglass and cosmetics.
• Diagnose and repair systems: fuel, battery, engine, drive train, brakes.
• Perform intermediate repairs per specs and complete work orders.
• Troubleshoot tractor issues and follow shop safety procedures.
• Operate wrecker and conduct post-maintenance diagnostics.
