Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Physician specialized in Pain Medicine and PM&R to provide high-complexity pain management to Veterans within a Level 1A VA facility.

The role entails performing interventional procedures, collaborating across healthcare teams, and delivering telehealth services in a comprehensive care environment. EDRP participation is available; salary is competitive with federal benefits.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required; non-citizens allowed only per VA policy.
• MD degree from an school approved by VA.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in US/DC.
• Residency in an approved core specialty leading to board eligibility.
• Board certified or board eligible in PM&R and Pain Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑complexity pain management within a Level 1A VA facility.
• Perform advanced interventional procedures with approved privileges.
• Document patient care in CPRS/EHR per requirements.
• Collaborate across PMOP and related services to ensure compliance with policy.
• Participate in telehealth pain services and multidisciplinary care.
