Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Pain Medicine program, including Chronic Pain, Headache, and Acupuncture clinics. Under supervision, you will help maintain efficient patient flow, prepare patients and rooms, and assist clinicians across outpatient settings.

You will be responsible for ensuring proper documentation, vital signs, and a clean patient-ready environment, while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the patient and family

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree preferred.
• CPR and Basic Life Support certification required.
• Certification recognized by NCCA or completion within one year of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Support patient flow across the Chronic Pain, Headache, and Acupuncture clinics.
• Prepare patients for visits by documenting vital signs and other clinical information.
• Prepare rooms and ensure equipment and supplies are available for visits and procedures.
• Assist clinicians with patient care and treatments within MA scope.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and patient-ready clinical environment.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, and the clinical team.
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient identification, safety, documentation, and confidentiality policies.

Education
