Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a settings-focused environment. You will perform assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and monitor responses while educating patients and families about conditions and post-discharge care.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, document care per standards, and advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout the treatment process.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS within 90 days for Critical Care/ICU.
• ONS/ONCC or Sentara chemotherapy provider card within 6 months.
• PALS within 90 days for Inpatient Pediatrics.
• NRP within 6 months for Women’s Care.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and design care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments and monitor responses.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and post-discharge care.
• Document all care in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Uphold patient safety and evidence-based practice.
