Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, compassionate care across diverse patient populations. You will conduct assessments, design and implement care plans, administer medications, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.

You will educate patients and families, monitor vital signs, document care in the electronic medical record, and uphold safety standards in a Magnet-designated hospital offering

Qualifications

• RN license required or eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire for relevant units.
• PALS within 90 days of hire for Inpatient Pediatrics.
• ONS/ONCC or Sentara approved Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Conduct thorough assessments and design individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments and evaluate responses.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and post-discharge care.
• Monitor vital signs, observe changes, and document care in accordance with standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
