Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources, Inc. seeks a Pain Management Physician for the Hershel "Woody" Williams VA Medical Center in Huntington, WV. The role combines on-site care with telehealth, within an interprofessional pain care team deploying the VA Stepped Care Model.

Responsibilities include medication management, opioid risk stratification, and coordination with NPs, PAs, and specialists to optimize Veterans’ pain outcomes. Board certification/eligibility and ABA credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pain Medicine (ABA)
• Active BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association
• Current medical license in any state

Responsibilities

• Provide medication management for chronic pain and optimize analgesic plans.
• Manage opioid medications with tapering when indicated and per guidelines.
• Order and review labs, imaging, and tests to refine the pain care plan.
• Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and the interprofessional team.
